Carole Chaplin

Asian Style Brushwork Artist and Instructor

Carole Chaplin has been an artist throughout her life and has worked in many mediums. For nearly nine years, she has enjoyed working in the spontaneous and lively medium of rice paper, round brush and ink, and loves to share the benefits of the practice with others. She is also a portrait painter with a booth in the Bellingham Farmers Market and has designed a line of prints, shirts, and greeting cards bearing her work.

Carole is a member of Allied Arts of Bellingham. She has been fortunate to receive many years of instruction in tai chi, Asian painting and calligraphy from T.Y. Pang and visited China with her teacher in 2002. Carole is also a licensed hairdresser.

Carole's leisure time interests almost always include art in some form. Carole paints for fun as well as for practice. She is happy to have her sons, daughter-in-law and grandson living in Bellingham.
