Trish Harding has over 20 years
of experience teaching through her own studio (currently "Studio
UFO" in Bellingham) and over eight years at Whatcom and WWU. Trish is a world class, award-winning doll artist as well as a
watercolorist, acrylic painter, and chalk pastelist. However, she
believes that her greatest expertise is in figure drawing which see also enjoys
the most. Trish shows regularly in the area and has been affiliated with many
local benefits through the years such as Heartworks, Evergreen AIDS
Foundation, Boys and Girls Club, Arthritis Foundation, and the Mt. Baker
Theatre Renovation Project. Her piece "Chrysalis" can be viewed in the lobby
of the Mt. Baker Theatre.
Trish Harding attended Western Washington University and graduated from The Academy of Art College, San
Francisco, in Fine Art, Advertising and
Illustration. She obtained her Master's Certificate in Doll Sculpting from
the Jack Johnston Academy of Dollmaking. She is a member of the NW
Pastel Society, NW Watercolor Society, and American Watercolor Society.
Trish and her musician husband, Tom Harding, have been married for 20
years and have raised five children. Trish spends most of her leisure time in creative pursuits now that
all her children are grown. She travels regularly to South Dakota where
she and her husband have a second home, and attends as many art workshops and art
exhibits as time permits.
