Cheryl Jackson has worked as a professional floral designer for
over 25 years, starting as a part-time holiday designer and working up to owning and
operating her own business, Courtyard Gardens, which specializes in
corporate and event flowers. This has given her a chance to plan and execute
numerous facets of floral design and table planning for small and large
groups.
"I really feel like I've come full circle, teaching at Whatcom Community
College. I once took a floral design class there from Clary Jensen years ago, and
now get a lot of enjoyment passing some skills on to others who love flowers
but just aren't sure what to do with them." Cheryl is an enthusiastic
instructor, and injects a lot of humor into her classes.
Cheryl and her husband, BC, own a blueberry farm in the Everson area, and
enjoy entertaining friends with an annual Medieval Mystery party for which
Cheryl writes the murder plot, cooks medieval food for the party, and
prepares unforgettable tablescapes.
