Carolyn
Koehnline has been teaching classes and workshops on clutter and
clutter-related topics for thirteen years. She is particularly
interested in helping adults to navigate the practical realities of life
with creativity, gentleness and humor. Carolyn combines useful
information and practical strategies with writing exercises that help
students to personalize the material. She is particularly skilled in
creating a safe environment and invites lots of interaction with class
participants. In all her classes she inspires an atmosphere of playful
exploration of the subject. Carolyn's teaching is enhanced by her work
as a psychotherapist in private practice and as a clutter consultant
working on-site with clients. Carolyn has written and published a book
titled Confronting Your Clutter; Writings to Assist in the Challenge of
Addressing Physical, Mental, and Emotional Clutter, and has published
many articles on the subject.Carolyn received her BA from The
Evergreen State College and her MA Psychology degree from
Antioch University in Seattle. She is a Washington State Licensed
Mental Health Counselor and a member of the American Mental Health
Counselors Association.
Carolyn is a singer, performing in several local music groups. She is
also a songwriter, storyteller, writer and artist. She illustrated and self-published
an original tale called The Bears Gift. Her idea of a
great vacation is going to the Puget Sound Guitar Workshop to be immersed in
music and community for a week. She and her partner, Frank, also love to
contra dance.
