Carol Lavoie has been
involved with caring for and handling art since being an intern with
the University Galleries at UNH in the 70's. She eagerly shares her
knowledge with others in order to help them enjoy the
satisfaction of caring for it themselves, and to help prevent damage
that could otherwise have been avoided. She has been teaching art
preservation and matting/framing courses since the mid-80's. Carol holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of NH (at Durham). She is a Certified Picture Framer with the Professional Picture Framers Association and member of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works and Western Association of Art Conservators. Carol enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking, reading, writing,
playing guitar, drawing and painting. Her sons are both in the
Air Force, one in Iraq, and the other in Virginia with his
AF-veteran wife. |
