Marie Matteson loves
teaching massage and about the human body. She finds it a wonderful way to connect,
communicate and heal. Marie has been a nationally certified massage
therapist for 11
years, an emergency medical technician 16 years, and counselor.
She specializes in kinesiology and manual muscle testing. She
volunteers as a therapist with Bellingham High School's
football team and with the residents of Sudden Valley and Geneva as an EMT.
Marie
holds an Associates Degree in Applied Science and is a member of
the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. She
attended the Capri School of Massage in Madison, WI and the
Spectrum Center School of Massage in Lake Stevens, WA. She is
certified with the National Certification Board of Massage
Therapy and certified in Levels 1-4 with the International
Kinesiology Association. She is also a kinesiology-based
registered counselor.
Marie enjoys losing
herself in an interesting book, from Quantum Physics and energy
medicine to romance novels. She has a daughter at Whatcom and
a son at Bellingham High School. She met her husband of 13 years on an
emergency scene.
