Drawing with Soft Pastels Trish

Soft Pastels

Any that you have or a start up set- DO NOT BRING OIL PASTELS!

1 stick vine charcoal

(Dakota Art at 1411 Cornwall Ave carries a huge assortment of soft pastels as well as “sets” (pastel paper too). 676-8918)

Paper

1 sheet of Mi Tientes Pastel Paper. 1 sheet Kitty Wallis White Pastel Paper. If you work fast you might want to bring more paper.

Masking Tape

1 ½ “ wide

Light Weight Board at least 18X24”

Gator Board is great but you can get away with foam core or stiff drawing board.

1 “ throw away painters brush or old acrylic brush

we will be abusing the brush so do not buy an expensive brush

ice cube tray

this can be used or another container that is separated and can hold at lease 4 liquid colors i.e. muffin pan, etc…(try Value Village or Good Will)

	1 roll paper towels
	10 images

can be anything…photos from magazines, snapshots, logos, poems, words, copies, designs, objects, etc…Please DO NOT come to class without these.
