first look at the new Windows Vista operating system, and see
what everyone is talking about! This hands-on course will
cover the different versions of Vista and its new features
including the Welcome Center, the Windows Sidebar, Gadgets, the
new Windows Explorer, Aero graphics, and the improved Desktop
Search capabilities. We will also explore some of the new
applications that come with Vista, such as the Windows Calendar
Tool, the Task Scheduler, Internet Explorer 7, and tools to
manage pictures, improve computer performance, and enhance
system security. This course will help you to make a smooth
transition to Windows Vista. |

Office 2007--A First Look |
| If you have
Office 2007 and are ready to get started, or if you are trying
to decide if you want to upgrade to Office 2007, this is the
class for you! This workshop will
introduce you to the different versions of Office 2007 and its
dynamic new user interface, vastly different from previous
versions. Instructor Chris Babin will show you how to use new
features such as the Ribbon, the Microsoft Office Button, the
Quick Access Toolbar, the Office Window Frame, the Mini Toolbar,
and contextual tabs. We will also look at how to perform common
tasks in each of the programs plus how to quickly format a
document by using Office Galleries, Live Preview, and Themes.
