Quick & Easy Computer Basics
If you have never worked with computers or are new to using Microsoft Windows, join us for this introductory class! This easy-paced class will cover the basics of using the mouse, opening and using programs, saving and printing your documents, and survival skills for the new computer user. Class is applicable to Windows 95/98/ME/XP/Vista.

Windows Essentials
Did you know that Microsoft Windows affects how all of the other programs on your computer work? This class will teach you essential skills for getting the most from your operating system, including program controls, multi-tasking, using the right mouse button, and copying text and graphics between programs. Class is applicable to Windows 95/98/ME/XP/Vista. Basic computer skills or the class Quick & Easy Computer Basics is strongly recommended.

Effective File Management
Having trouble finding your documents? This class will teach you vital Windows file management skills, including creating folders and shortcuts, organizing documents such as letters and spreadsheets, finding lost files, and copying files from your computer to disks, CDs, and USB drives. Familiarity with Windows is strongly recommended. Course is applicable to Windows 95/98/ME/XP/Vista.

Keyboard Essentials
 
Are you new to the computer? Do some of the keys on the keyboard have you baffled? This class will explore the special keys on the keyboard and review basic procedures for typing emails and letters or filling out forms on the internet. Familiarity with Windows recommended.

Before the Crash: Backing Up Your Computer
Computer viruses, malicious emails, faulty software or failing hardware... eventually something will cause your computer to crash. When that happens, it is essential to have backups for all of your important files and images. This hands-on/lecture class will explore different ways to back up your data, discuss backup schedules, and show you where to find the important data on your computer. Don't miss this opportunity to learn how to protect your data! Class is designed for students who have taken our introductory level Windows classes or have equivalent knowledge.
