Ballroom Dancing: The ABCs
Ballroom dancing is timeless, romantic, and an impressive social skill. If you have never danced, or want to practice what you already know, this class is for you. Learn the basic steps of the Foxtrot, Waltz and nightclub slow dancing--a perfect style for a crowded dance floor. Experienced teacher Jerry Lesniak will have you gliding across the dance floor in no time. Also learn the fundamental techniques of leading and following. Partners recommended but not required or guaranteed. Class fee is for one person. Section A is held at the YWCA on the corner of N. Forest and Maple; Section B is held at Whatcom Hills Waldorf School. Please note date change for Section B.

Swing Dance
Swing dancing is hot and so much fun! Join us and learn the basic steps of Single and Triple-Step Swing. You will experience the versatility of these steps as you dance to Pop, Rock, Country, and Big Band music. Find out why "It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing!" Nightclub Partner Dancing
When you and your friends head out for a night on the town, wouldn't you like to dance with confidence to the music that greets you at your favorite club? This popular class is the answer! Learn to dance the bluesy West Coast Swing and the slow and romantic Nightclub Two-Step (not to be confused with the Country Two-Step). These partner dance steps are fun to learn, versatile, and perfect for modern nightclub music! Instructor Dana Dryg enjoys teaching all levels of experience. The Tango!
Dance the nights away as Jerry Lesniak introduces you and your partner to the timeless and beautiful tango. In this beginning class, you will learn the essential elements of both the American and Argentine-style tango forms. Jerry will emphasize the fundamentals that include proper lead-follow technique, easy-to-learn steps, and the etiquette of social dance. Learn why the tango leaves you longing for more. Salsa Dance: Beginning
The Latin beat is hot! Salsa dancing not only looks great on the dance floor, but it is fun, easy to learn, and a great way to exercise. Join instructor Dana Dryg as she presents this popular party-style Mambo, danced to fast upbeat Latin music. Don't miss this chance to get a little salsa in your life! Salsa Dance: Beyond the Basics
Spice up your Salsa dancing in the course everyone's been asking for! Instructor Dana Dryg will begin class with a review of the fundamentals, then explore variations of basic steps and add embellishments and more challenging moves to enhance your enjoyment of this exciting party dance. Latin Dance: The Rumba and Cha-Cha
Rumba, the "dance of love," and the lively Cha-Cha are two popular and versatile Latin dances whose captivating rhythms have found their way into Country Western, Blues, Rock ‘n Roll and other musical forms. Easy to learn and easy to fall in love with, the Rumba and Cha-Cha are must-know dances for the aspiring social dancer. Partners recommended, but not required or guaranteed. Hip Hop--Beyond the Basics
Continue your hip hop practice with instructor Shayna Coyier in this fun class! You'll experience a great workout while learning new steps and building on what you already know. Prerequisite: Shayna's beginning Hip Hop class or instructor permission. Class is held at Bellingham Athletic Club--Meridian location. Session is closed.

The Hula: Beginning
Experience the "aloha spirit" in this beginning hula class. You will learn basic hula steps as well as the words and meanings corresponding to the movements of this graceful Polynesian dance. Instructor Jessica Ilagan-Gessel has danced for over 10 years and especially enjoys teaching beginners! If you are an admirer of the hula, don't miss this opportunity to experience a blend of Hawaiian culture, exercise, and fun! Class is held at Bellingham Athletic Club--Meridian location.
