Making the Right Impression in China: Cultural Awareness and Etiquette
Join in this fascinating evening dedicated to looking at the cultural traits of the Chinese and how their traditional customs play such an important part in developing relationships--both locally and globally. This course is jam-packed with travel tips and recommendations covering topics such as top destinations, modes of travel, and best viewing sites for wildlife, glaciers, and breathtaking scenery. Also learn what to expect at certain times of the year, discover the wide scope of accommodations and their accompanying costs and features, and explore the history of the native culture and what makes the residents of Alaska unique. Instructor and travel guide Dave Button has lived and worked in Alaska and has driven the Alaska Highway over 50 times! Planning Your Italian Vacation

This two session class provides both first-time travelers and experienced globetrotters with practical ideas to make an Italian dream vacation a reality. In the first session, you will learn the best times of year to travel, which cities to visit, cultural and etiquette tips, public transportation, money matters, and much more! The second session will include an inspiring slide show and an actual planning session. You will receive a map provided by Rem and, with his guidance, plan the trip of your dreams based on your own unique interests. Rem has been traveling throughout Europe since the age of 14; he and his mother founded Seattle-based Italy 4 Real out of the desire to introduce the public to a unique and genuine way to travel. You will come away from this evening with a wealth of practical information for planning the trip of a lifetime! $5 materials fee is included in course fee.
