Brochures,
Flyers, and Newsletters: The Good, the Bad, and the Really Ugly |
|
Would you like to design your own
print materials for your small business, but don't know how to
make them stand out and be seen? Many ads and brochures are
ineffective because they contain the wrong information in the
wrong places. In this class you will discover how to design
focused, creative, and professional-looking marketing materials
that get noticed by your target market. You will learn about
fonts, graphics, spacing, ad shapes, and the difference between
color and black and white design. Actual ads from the local
media will be used as examples of the best and the worst. Even
if you don't design your own ads, this class will help you
evaluate what works and what doesn't and enable you to better
communicate your needs. Instructor Taimi Dunn Gorman of Gorman
Publicity is a former owner of The Colophon Café and The Doggie
Diner in Bellingham.
