Course covers financing, recordkeeping, accounting, taxes, legal considerations and business insurance. If you're contemplating the idea of going into business or are ready to expand your current enterprise, you need a plan to reach your goals. In this workshop you will learn the components of a good business plan while you prepare the first draft or refine a plan you already have. Learn fundamentals that you can use again and again for creating a living document that helps guide your business, keeps it on track toward goals and objectives, and can be easily and quickly modified for specific needs such as a finance/capital request, marketing campaign, or to bring new products or services into the existing business. We will find resources for market research, marketing strategy, and to prepare financial statements that define your cash flow, income, and ability to repay a loan. We'll cover legal and licensing issues, taxes, hiring employees, leasing, business identity and branding.
