Introduction to Full Body Massage

Learn how to give a soothing full-body massage to friends and family in this hands-on workshop. Licensed massage practitioner and counselor Marie Matteson, MS will guide you step-by-step through how to give a massage, using techniques practiced by professionals. She will also discuss how to apply massage oil or lotion, avoid fatigue, and determine situations where massage is not recommended. All participants will have the opportunity to both give and receive massage, so sign up with a friend, spouse, or significant other for a relaxing experience! Please bring shorts, t-shirt or sports top, two sheets, a sleeping bag or blanket, a water bottle, and a sack lunch to class.

Advanced Massage Techniques

Learn massage techniques specifically geared toward the neck, shoulders, and low back to relieve tension and achieve better range of motion. Licensed massage practitioner Marie Matteson, MS will also cover anatomy and how muscles move (kinesiology). Marie's beginning class, Introduction to Full Body Massage, is recommended as a great foundation for this class but is not required. Bring shorts, t-shirt, two sheets, sleeping bag or blanket, water bottle, and sack lunch to class.
