Professional Women's Luncheon Series: Motherhood is the New MBA
Balancing motherhood and career is a challenge for working women, but could motherhood actually make us better at our jobs? Learn how motherhood is the perfect training for management. Shari Storm, blogger for "Motherhood is the New MBA", will draw parallels between the tactics used by mothers and apply them to managing people at work. The concepts are simple and will strike an immediate "aha." You will leave with a new framework in which to view your talents at work and at home, whether you are a working mother, considering motherhood, or want to recruit and retain more parents for your business. You will walk away with ten things you can do immediately to become a better boss. You'll also have a chance to share war stories from the workplace and the homefront as you enjoy a light lunch and a beautiful view at Fino. Shari Storm has been managing people for almost 20 years, and in the meantime has been managing three young daughters. She is the author of a soon-to-be-published book on motherhood and management. Her blog, "Motherhood is the New MBA" is featured in Working Mother Magazine Blog, Warner Brothers’ Momlogic site and Guy Kawasaki’s Alltop site.
