Business Plans for Non-Profits 
This intensive course offers a blueprint for easily turning good intentions into a sustainable non-profit by writing a concise, powerful one-page business and marketing plan. The One-Page Business PlanŽ methodology is used by more than 50,000 organizations internationally, including 5000 non-profits. Instructor Maria Marsala will guide you through the steps to draft a business plan for your non-profit that puts a framework of business savvy around your social goals. Each student will receive a 116-page book to supplement the seminar with additional information, exercises and a CD of useful tracking tools to follow progress after the class is over. Maria Marsala, founder of Elevating Your Business, is a small business strategist, author, and speaker with a rich history of working with non-profits as a volunteer, speaker, and board member. Creative Fundraising for Non-Profits
Join experienced fundraiser Jeffrey Davis as he shows you how to treat donors like customers and get the time, talent, and treasured donations from your target markets. Discover how to creatively and effectively market to potential donors from foundations, corporations, and individuals; set and reach fundraising goals; and evaluate your efforts. Davis will review case studies and invite you to share your ideas and challenges with fundraising. He will also provide a plethora of resources for students to use after the course is over. Jeffrey Davis has over four decades of experience in non-profit management, marketing, and government service.

Take the mystery out of grant writing and put your non-profit on the map for receiving substantial awards! This valuable "how-to" course will take you step by step through the grant writing process. Learn how to develop a funding plan and budget, write a compelling grant narrative, and develop effective evaluation tools. Also learn what to do after the grant is awarded, from preparing for a grantor site visit to writing an update report. During the final session of class, you will apply this knowledge as you work in class on a grant for your organization. T.J. Larrick has been writing grants for over 10 years and teaches grant writing throughout Western Washington.

Grant Writing: Write That Grant Now! 
Are you having grant writer's block? Then it's time to workshop it! Spend a productive day working on your actual grant in a team setting with instructor and grant writer T.J. Larrick. We will also go over web resources to help you in your grant writing efforts. This class is for those students who have taken an introductory grant writing class, or who have some experience writing grants, who want assistance in their grant writing project. Bring a sack lunch and feel free to bring your laptop for our wireless classroom.
