Discover the Vancouver Art Gallery
This Artist’s Road Trip is an international experience as we travel north to the renowned Vancouver Art Gallery. Local artist and veteran tour guide Trish Harding is excited to share with you a magnificent exhibit featuring the works of B.C.'s favorite artist Emily Carr, the dominant figure in British Columbian art in the early twentieth century and her connection with the "Group of Seven," a legendary Canadian group of painters who literally put Canada on the world map in the early twentieth century. The exhibit "Emily Carr and the Group of Seven" includes works from the Vancouver Art Gallery's collection and private loans, with key works by Carr and members of the legendary Group of Seven (Who is this group? Join us and learn about them!) Under Trish’s guidance, you will also enjoy other fine exhibits currently on show at the Gallery. We will leave promptly at 8:30 AM from our rendezvous point at the WCC Campus and travel by relaxing coach furnished by our day trip partners, Bellair Charters. One hour lunch break provided; bring a sack lunch or grab a bite at the Gallery Cafe. Entrance fee to museum is included in course fee. Proper border identification papers must be shown before boarding bus.
