The Art and
Business of Floral Design--Certificate Course |

This 30-hour certificate course
provides an introduction to the art and business skills required
to succeed in the retail floral trade. Class covers essential
design techniques for advanced floral work; flower processing,
plant care and identification; designing for profitability;
pricing guidelines; team assembly; and event work. By course's
end, you'll have completed arrangements for a variety of special
occasions (weddings, funerals, and holidays). Materials for the
first class will be provided. Materials for subsequent projects
will be discussed at first class. $60 materials fee is included
in class fee. Bring a sharp knife or pruners to each class.
Prerequisite: Floral Design I, prior work experience in floral
design, or instructor permission. A certificate will be issued
upon course completion. |
